Just Launched! Centre of Excellence and Campus Connection are here

February was a huge month for everyone at UKBC, two big initiatives made their official debut in front of students and staff. 

On Saturday, 22nd of February the Centre of Excellence in collaboration with Campus connection hosted an event for staff and students to celebrate the launch of both initiatives.  

The welcome note was given by Dr. Anthony Aylmer, Dean of UKBC followed by an introduction into the Centre of Excellence by Dr. Maryam Kiani. Attendees had the chance to observe a panel discussion on “Carrer development in the age of constant change”. The panel members included Dr. Jennifer Egbunike, keynote speaker and Director of the University of Doha, Dr. Adam Dubis, Dr. Gordon Bowen, Juliet Martin Resident Engagement and Community Manager at YMCA, Linda Wayo Director at Access Media and Dr. Anthony Aylmer. 

The Centre of Excellence (COE) aims to equip students with the necessary skills to navigate the ever-changing job market.

Campus Connections is an exciting initiative designed to unite the UKBC community through storytelling, collaboration, and shared experiences. Inspired by the incredible journeys of our students and staff, this platform aims to highlight personal success stories, academic achievements, and creative showcases—celebrating the voices that make UKBC truly unique.

🎥 Short Video Series & 60-Second Spotlights – Showcasing inspiring stories, talents, and skills from across the UKBC community. 

⏳ The 60-Second Scholar – Bite-sized videos delivering quick academic insights, study tips, and key learning concepts to support student success. 

📖 Campus Connections Magazine – A biannual publication highlighting major events, student and staff achievements, and in-depth stories. 

🎉 Campus Connection Events – All UKBC events, including academic seminars, student-led initiatives will now fall under the Campus Connections umbrella
